How does the all2all backup system work?
Backups are an important safety layer, but they are not the only protection for important data.
all2all runs automated backups for shared hosting and infrastructure so data can be recovered after accidental deletion, corruption or technical failure.
Shared hosting backups
Shared hosting backups may include:
- website files
- mailboxes
- mailing list data

Retention
Typical retention includes recent daily backups plus a longer rotation for older restore points. Database dumps are rotated separately so earlier database states can be restored.
Restore requests
To request a restore, contact support and specify:
- domain name
- affected data
- approximate deletion or failure date
Virtual, dedicated and colocated servers
For virtual servers, backup options depend on the service level. Dedicated and colocated servers normally require a backup strategy defined by the customer. Backup storage can be added separately if needed.
Recommendation
Keep your own additional copies of critical data. Backups operated by all2all are provided on a best effort basis. As stated in the charter, no absolute guarantee can be given regarding completeness or recoverability.
